四季の移ろいを、木とともに感じる。日本人らしい、心が落ち着く住まいを実現させたＮさん一家の家づくりを支えたのは、木を知り尽くした職人集団〈馬場住宅〉の確かな技術と経験だ。
もともと木造りの家に憧れていたご主人。偶然通りがかった〈馬場住宅〉の施工現場で美しい木材に目を奪われ、ほどなくして完成した住宅を見学、木のあたたかみを感じる空間にすっかり魅了された。
何度も打ち合わせを重ねながら実現したＮ邸は、木目の豊かな表情に温もりを感じる理想の住まいだ。
スケール感のあるリビングの大和天井をはじめ、片側に収納できる和室の障子、ありのままの木の形を活かした玄関、高さや幅をミリ単位で調整した収納棚など、随所に職人技が光る。
それぞれ材質も工夫しており、リビングの床には丈夫な栗、水回りは水捌けに優れた桜、玄関は高級感のある桧を使用。
木目の美しさと最適な機能を両立できるのは、自社で木材の加工から施工まで一貫して行う体制があればこそだ。縁側を備えた本格的な和室は客間として利用でき、玄関から直接入る動線を整えた。
もちろん、住み心地も自慢で、あたたかな光に照らされる空間は飽きることもない。「家でくつろいでいるだけで、なんだか森林浴しているような気分になりますよ」と笑顔のご主人。
