子どもたちの存在が、マイホームを建てるきっかけになったというＴさん。「子どもがのびのびと走り回れる。そんな家にしたかった」という奥さまの言葉通り、家の中央には玄関から子ども部屋まで、廊下がまっすぐに続いている。経由するリビングに設置されたブランコは、今では大のお気に入りだという。
Ｔさんが家づくりにおいてもう一つ譲れなかったことが。キッチンを中心とした動線づくりだ。パントリーとキッチン、ファミリークローゼット、脱衣所が一直線に並んでおり、料理や洗濯、片付けが効率的に行える間取りを実現。ダイニングテーブルを横並びにすることで、食後の後片付けもスムーズになったという。効率性だけでなく、家事をしながらリビングでくつろぐ家族の様子が見られることも、家を建てて良かったことだと奥さまは満足げに話す。
