築80年の堂々とした風情や風格はそのままに、暮らしやすさを追求してリノベーションしたＨ邸。

以前の家は日中の暗さや雨漏り、冬の底冷え、周囲の音などもストレスだったという。依頼を受けた〈馬場住宅〉は柱や梁などの骨組みを残して解体。
使える素材はできるだけ使い、傾きや歪みも多い古民家ならではの特徴に合わせ、高い技術を持つ職人が臨機応変に造り込んでいった。建具などもほぼすべて、ここだけの一点モノとして制作。
断熱性など高い機能を持つ二世帯住宅として生まれ変わったＨ邸は、現代のライフスタイルに寄り添いながらも日本家屋の魅力をしみじみと実感できる住まいとなった。
天井や壁を抜き、大空間となったＬＤＫは、親子３世代が楽しくコミュニケーションできる工夫もいっぱい。
「今後も安心して任せられる〈馬場住宅〉さんを選んで大正解。これからはおじいちゃんが好きだった庭の手入れもしていきたいですね」と奥さまは微笑む。
